Burak Emre Kadan

I'm Burak Emre Kadan, a backend engineer and technical lead. I build and teach production-grade systems in C# and .NET.

Background

I started as a C# backend developer in 2014, building internal project-management systems for large industrial projects at Tecnicas Reunidas — first in Türkiye, later on site in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain as a full-stack developer.

Since then I've led engineering teams: at SOCAR Turkey, designing event-driven systems with CQRS and message brokers; at EETech, running a remote team building microservices with DDD, Clean Architecture and the Saga pattern on Azure Service Bus; and at Atlas Copco in Antwerp, as IT project leader for distributed .NET systems on Azure Kubernetes Service, with infrastructure as code, CI/CD and end-to-end telemetry.

Across all of it, the recurring theme is the same: systems that keep working when dependencies fail, and teams that can see exactly what went wrong when they don't.

Why this course

Most AI tutorials stop at the demo: a prompt, a response, a screenshot. Real products need more. What happens when the model returns malformed output? When a tool call runs twice? When you swap models and quality quietly drops? When someone hides an instruction inside a document?

These are the same problems backend engineers have always solved — timeouts, retries, idempotency, observability, testing — applied to a new kind of dependency. .NET now has first-class building blocks for this, from Microsoft.Extensions.AI to the MCP C# SDK, but very little teaching that treats AI as a production engineering problem.

AI Engineering for .NET Developers is the course I wanted to exist: one real project, built end to end, measured with evals at every step, running on free local models.
