Personal data notice (KVKK)
Prepared under Article 10 of Türkiye’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK). The Turkish version prevails.
1. Data controller
Your personal data is processed by Burak Emre Kadan as data controller, as described below.

2. Data we process
- Identity: full name; Turkish ID number when needed for an invoice.
- Contact: email address; address when needed for an invoice.
- Customer transactions: orders, amount and date, payment status, access and support requests. Card details are not processed by bekadan.com; payment happens on iyzico's platform.
- Finance: invoice details.
- Transaction security: IP address, session data, a one-way hash of your password, attempt records that prevent abuse.
- Marketing: newsletter subscription, when and where you consented to commercial messages, your analytics cookie choice and, with consent, analytics data.
3. Purposes
- creating your account and giving you access to the courses you buy;
- entering into and performing the distance sales agreement, payment and invoicing;
- answering requests and complaints and fixing access problems;
- keeping systems secure and preventing abuse;
- with your consent, sending the newsletter and promotions, and analysing site use;
- meeting legal obligations and informing authorities when required.
4. How data is collected and legal grounds
Data is collected electronically, partly automatically, through the site's forms, account and order steps, email and cookies, on these grounds under Article 5 KVKK:
- necessary to enter into or perform a contract (5/2-c): account, order, access, support;
- legal obligation (5/2-ç): invoicing, tax and commercial law;
- establishing, exercising or defending a right (5/2-e): records in case of a dispute;
- legitimate interest, without harming your rights (5/2-f): security and abuse prevention;
- your explicit consent (5/1): analytics cookies; for the newsletter, also your consent under Law No. 6563.
5. Transfers
For these purposes only, data may be transferred to iyzico (Türkiye) for payments, Supabase (EU, Frankfurt) for the database, Resend (US) for email, Vercel (US) for hosting, Google (US) for analytics and video embeds with your consent, and to authorities when the law requires. Transfers abroad follow the conditions of Article 9 KVKK.
6. Retention
Data is kept as long as its purpose requires: newsletter data until you unsubscribe, account data until you delete the account, order and invoice records for the periods set by tax and commercial law (up to 10 years). It is then deleted, destroyed or anonymised.
7. Your rights under Article 11 KVKK
You can ask us to:
- tell you whether your personal data is processed, and give you information about it;
- tell you the purpose and whether data is used accordingly;
- name the third parties in Türkiye or abroad it is transferred to;
- correct incomplete or wrong data, and delete or destroy it under Article 7;
- notify those corrections or deletions to the third parties it was transferred to;
- object to a result against you that comes only from automated analysis;
- compensate damage caused by unlawful processing.
8. How to apply
Send your request from the email address registered with us to hello@bekadan.com, or in writing to the address above. We answer within 30 days, free of charge; if the request involves an extra cost, the fee set by the Personal Data Protection Board may apply. If we refuse or you find the answer insufficient, you can complain to the Board. See also the privacy policy.
